Population Density Map
The majority of the Southern Europe population is found in Italy, around the coast, and the coast of Spain. The population is most likely located in these two places due to the Mediterranean climate of warm summers and damp, cool winters. This area provides a bearable, even enjoyable climate and beautiful, stunning views of the oceans. The majority of Southern Europe is urban, 70%, and therefore 30% rural. High urban attributes include close living areas, high population density, and a higher amount of pollution. Urban areas can also improve the status of women and increased number of jobs for the area.
